Buchanan Tartan Ruffle Brooch

Buchanan Tartan -

The Clan Buchanan is one of the oldest and largest Highland Clans of Scotland, with charters dating to 1016 and roots stretching back to the Picts, on the banks of Loch Lomond, northwest of Glasgow.

The Clan is comprised of over 50 affiliated families (or Septs), with links throughout Scottish history, including connection to Robert the Bruce and the Jacobite uprising.

This is a new addition to my tartan accessories range.
This cute little tartan brooch pin is made to order and will take a few days, plus delivery time.

It is great for a touch of tartan to an outfit or hat or onto a wedding dress or costume, or simply as a gift.

Made with a small circle of dark green or navy felt with a small brooch pin attached and a handmade and sewn ruffle of Buchanan (Modern) tartan ribbon with wide ribbon shaped trails and finished with either a red round or oval crystal and diamante embellishment,  silver or brass Celtic button, clusters of yellow pearls with a coloured centre.

Size approx- 6 cm wide x 10.5 cm long

Brooch Pin - Nickel plated brooch back, with a swivel mechanism to securely close the pin.
