Cameron Tartan Ruffle Brooch
This is a new addition to my tartan accessories range.
This cute little tartan brooch pin is made to order and will take a few days to make, plus delivery time.
It is great for a touch of tartan to an outfit or hat or onto a wedding dress or costume, or simply as a gift.
Made with a small circle of red felt with a small brooch pin attached and a handmade and sewn ruffle of Cameron tartan ribbon with wide ribbon shaped trails and finished with a choice of a cluster of red pearls, silver or brass Celtic button, red crystal antique embellishment or bronze Celtic knot button.
Size approx- 6 cm wide x 10 cm long

History -
It was created for the use of the original 79th Regiment, later known as The Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders, raised in 1793 by their eldest son, General Sir Allan Cameron, K.C.B.
Regardless of its origin, this tartan has been in use by The Cameron Highlanders since their late-eighteenth century inception.
