United States Shipping and Tariffs Update

As of 11th August shipping to the USA was temporarily suspended, due to uncertainty and likelihood of parcels not reaching the USA and passing through customs before the cut off date of the de minimis exemption being withdrawn.

You may or may not of heard in the news that President Trump signed off an executive order to remove and set at zero the de minimis exemption on all packages entering the USA from the rest of the world, where previously there were no tariffs payable up to $800.

This is to be withdrawn from the 29th August 2025 and tariffs being imposed on every item no matter of size and value..

We hope to resume shipping in September, the UK tariff charge is 10% and it looks like hopefully it will be just that charge, not with added percentage of the HS code of each individual item, but we cannot be sure until we have absolute verification, so in theory tariff costs of 10% plus admin fees will be included in the total cost of the transaction.

So you don't have to worry about being charged the tariff at your end when the package is delivered as the tariff is already paid at checkout.

What may not have been made clear is that the tariff charges are the responsibility of the BUYER to pay, not the seller as has possibly been implied.

I should be able to roll this out and resume shipping in due course as and when Etsy/ Ebay and Royal Mail set up the ability to do so.

Sales to the USA are on Etsy, Ebay and Folksy ONLY, not on the website.

So we are still open to US customers, so feel free to browse, favourite and ask any questions, but for now I cannot ship anything with this much uncertainty until all the measures are put in place for me to do so.

Thank you for your patience, I am keeping up to date with all the latest developments and will keep you updated as and when I can.
